My Favorite Projects of 2018

This post is sponsored by Elkay but all opinions are our own.

What an incredible year 2018 has been for us. I’m so beyond grateful that our little business has continued to grow and with that so has our opportunity to work on some truly amazing projects with so many amazing clients.

This was definitely the year that the projects grew in size with more full home remodels. Unfortunately, that has meant that my blogging about these projects has become less and less. Which kills me because as I was pulling these images from some of my favorite projects this year and realized…Wow, we really have worked on some excellent projects with the kindest clients this year.  So prepare yourself….this is like 3 posts in one!

MERIDIAN PROJECT

This was one of my favorite projects of the year and one of the reasons is because  Brian and I worked on this one together. We don’t always get to work on all of our projects together so its always more fun when we get to. This house was built in the 1980’s and if you can imagine lots of cherry wood, bud flower wall paper and old school paneling everywhere, then you can imagine what the house looked like before we got our hands on it.

The kitchen was such an important room in this home and every element had to be perfect. We paneled the refrigerator to match the custom island. Added a quartz countertop and open shelving. One of my favorite features in this house was the kitchen sink. Up until this point I was a one basin type of girl but after using the Elkay Fireclay Equal double bowl farmhouse sink in this home, I now want to put it in all our homes. The custom cutting board that comes with it is such a great add on and so functional.

THE GROVE PROJECT

This next home remodel has been a work in progress since February and I have to say the transformation of this family home has been nothing less than remarkable.

We are actually still working on the lower and upper levels of this home and I can’t wait to photograph and share all the before and after moments with you. But for now let me share with you  these images from the main floor.

The plaster two story fireplace in this home is a true show stopper. It’s big and bold but still understated and simple in design. It also inspired me to use plaster on the fireplaces in our Meridian project below.

The custom black hood with brass banding is giant. Measuring more then 5ft wide you can’t help but notice when you enter the kitchen.

THE HILL PROJECT

I also had the opportunity to design one of the Indyrama homes here in Indianapolis this year. This row house is located in downtown Indianapolis and was a complete remodel. The house was taken down to the studs and completely rebuilt into this gorgeous modern family home. I love the overall vibe of this house. Clean, simple, modern but still feels cozy. Exactly, the way I love to design. This house pretty much sealed the deal that we would also be replacing all of our existing windows with black ones like the ones we used in this project..they are just so good!

The deep green island pops against the white walls and those pendents with the black Anderson windows were the perfect choice.

The sofa is from Restoration Hardware and such a great piece. I love how structured it is but still so comfortable.

The bed is from Room and Board and the rug is West Elm. I love this Cb2 bench and use it in a lot of my projects because it’s such a unique piece and I have yet to find a bench that I love more than this one.

I love the semi flush light in this mudroom from All Modern. Such a cute and super affordable option.

I have never loved adding overhead fans to design projects but that was before I discovered this one by Hunter Douglas. Its so pretty with its simple design and brass accents.

Its the perfect addition in this little girls room.

What an amazing year 2018 has been for us. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. Thank you to all of you that have followed along and supported our business through out the year. We have never forgotten that we are living out our dream because of all of you.

See you in 2019!
