Bringing art into your home is a sure way of instantly adding character and soul to any space. Incorporating pieces that reflect your style and personality is especially important since it’s something thats always on display and should make you feel happy and inspired every time you look at it.

Choosing and styling artwork however is often easier said than done. Maybe you can’t make up your mind on which colors or subject matter strike a chord with you or you’re simply stuck trying to find the right spot for the perfect piece. We have taken some of the work out of it for you to be on your way toward effortless art display. In this post we will show you five different ways to style your artwork along with a few pieces we’ve found ourselves inspired by lately.

A gallery wall is an effective way to display a series of work you love all in one place. The format of how you choose to hang the pieces, can be a great design, in and of itself. Whether it’s a gallery of family photos or a curated collection of prints, paintings, and photographs, they suddenly become more impactful in their grouping, and it makes for a great art feature in your space. Play up scale and color by choosing different styles of frames and matte sizes.

2. Shelf Styled

Whether your style is minimalist or maximalist, styling artwork on a shelf is a perfect way to showcase your style in a relaxed yet bold way. Styling them in an accessible place alongside beautiful objects you use frequently will make them feel that much more special and personal. FOr instance, Style your art next to a stack of books, a plant or a few interesting vessels for that lived in loo. style a curated cluster on a photo ledge for a more linear sophisticated composition.

Many people don’t think to add art to one of the more intimate spaces in the house where you take care of your, ahem.. business, but I think for that very reason it is a great opportunity to add some beauty to a place otherwise spec’d for functionality. Here are a few ways we’ve seen art in the RR that we are really vibing with.

Above the fireplace or on top of the mantle makes for a great resting place for your favorite artwork. Go bold with a singular piece or layer in a few smaller pieces. Architecturally speaking, the fireplace often owns the room as the focal point so why not contribute to its grandeur with your some of your best work.
