Primary Bedroom Room Reveal

In a perfect world I would have all my blog posts in order from the entryway on through the house but lets be real, this is real life and life is crazy most of the time so I’ve decided to just post what I can, when I can. Starting with our primary bedroom in our new house, no. 9.

When we purchased the home in 2021 this space was large and not what I had envisioned for a new primary bedroom, so we got to work. I decided to split the space in to two separate spaces. We made the front part of the room with the bay window the bathroom and the back part the bedroom. The existing primary bath then turned into a new walk in closet. We deleted the single window in the space and added in two new windows that would now sit on either side of the bed. You can see the before of this space in the realty listing below.

When it came to the styling, I deviated from my usual neutral bed to a soft rosewood color. This bed is from Lee Industries and I had it custom made for our new bedroom. I chose these olive green roman shades from Drapery Street and my bedding is a mix of fabrics, mostly from my own interior design shoppe and some local finds.I did add in a Jake Arnold linen bed cover from Parachute that I am in love with! I am all about a layered bed with plenty of textures and patterns.

The over dyed rug is a vintage find from Etsy….only $300 for an 8x10! I love Etsy for one of kind items at a bargain. The lamps and furnishings are all from House Seven Design. These are all available through our design service but I will list links below so that you also can purchase them on your own.

I’m really happy with how this space turned out from the original design of the home (below) and I feel like its such a better use of the space. The room was so enormous and wasted. This plan is much better for how we will live here for years to come.
