Our Primary Bath in House no.9

Our primary bathroom is finished….well almost. I wanted to get this post done before posting about the rest of the house and I was hoping that all the items on the punch list were complete but we are living in a world now where it literally takes months to finish what used to be weeks. So with that in mind, I’m posting before those items are finished. I wanted this post to be mainly about the selections I chose for the bathroom so that I can share those links with you all! Unfortunately, a lot of these items have been discontinued over the past year so I can't share all of the links but I have included as many as I can.

We are still waiting on the stone casing for the shower, some minor painting touch ups, our Forbes and Lomax electrical plates to be installed and baseboards but all in all, its looking pretty good in here.

I chose plumbing from Waterworks in the Dash collection. The finish is unlacquered brass which my favorite of all the finishes. I love how the metal patinas over time, turning a warm brass and even green. This is because brass is made up of a combination of copper and zinc and when the copper reacts to water and carbon dioxide in the air it will change in color. I have discovered over the years that unlacquered brass is so controversial amongst designers. My experience is that they will either use it or won’t even consider it. There is no in between. I am obviously one who will and does try to use it in all my projects because I love an aged appearance in my metals.

Our lighting is a mix of Arterior’s home (chandelier discontinued) Curry and Company (sconces discontinued) and Mullen (cylinder lights)

The custom vanities have pulls from Devol kitchens. The mirrors are CB2 and they don’t sell those anymore either! Why do they always discontinue all the good stuff…..cue crying emoji. Our floor tile is a tumbled marble from floor and decor that I purchased on a closeout sale after realizing that the French limestone that my heart desired was way out of our budget. But the tumbled marble has almost the same appearance and at a much better price. The shower wall tile is Riad tile zellige tile in natural white.

The runner is an Etsy find. The chair, stool and vintage pot are all from my own personal shoppe when it was open. My towels are all The Company Store and so good!

Draperies are Drapery Street.

The bathtub is from Signature Hardware and its my favorite! I love a good bath and when I was looking for a new tub for this house I wanted something cast iron and also long enough to stretch out my legs in and at 70” long, this one was the perfect fit.
